2016 Camaro Testing with 2015 Mustang

While filling up I noticed the camo'd Camaro's hiding in the corner.

I went in to pay for my gas, asked a guy who walked away from the group if it was the new Camaro and he said " I can't say or talk about it, or even go into detail about it"

I pumped my gas and pulled over to the side. I waited for them to leave and followed them down the highway.

These are the pictures. I know the mustang is testing with it because the 2 Mustangs, a blue one and a white one had numbers on the lower left of the rear windshield. They were lead by one of the Camaro's and followed by a new Denali SUV.

These are the pictures. I got video but it's messed up, no audio of the Camaros. One sounded like a V6 with some modified exhaust. The rest didnt attempt to make an exhaust sound, just the one did.

These are the pictures, Japlonik editors, if these picture violate some law or whatever, please take them down. Or rehost them with the "If found return to Japlonik" typically found on spy shots you post.

The group at the gas station. Note the White Mustang, it's apart of the group as well.

Tried to get closer with my phone, but they didn't like that. The hood was up on one of them, but when I walked closer, it slammed shut.

Enjoy what little pictures I took. I have a video of them leaving the gas station, but when I figure out how to rotate it to the correct orientation I'll add it here. (I'm not a video editing genius or anything, gotta look it up)

I can email these pictures or the video files if needed, it was all taken with my Note 2.

Where was this taken? I'm betting it's some sort of benchmark testing. Good find! Always good to be in the right place at the right time.

Sucks about the secrecy though, but I can understand it.

I tried, I dont own a DSLR or any real type of camera beyond my phone. I just wish the highway wasnt as crowded or I would have got more pictures of them rolling down the road.

Trying to drive, keep up with their convoy and move through traffic was hard enough, then to try to take decent pictures. I used my steering wheel to steady some shots.

The guy in the Mustang at the back chuckled when he saw my phone. He knew what I was doing.

As soon as I saw them, MUST POST TO JALOPNIK came to mind.

My guess would be the quiet ones were 4 cylinder models?

Who knows. They are drawing out this release way too much. Everyone already knows what it look like, which is pretty much just a smaller '15 Camaro, drop the stupid camo already.

The gas station shots was taken in Franklin Oh, at the Pilot truck stop on Rt 123.

The rolling ones were done along 75N from Franklin to just north of Dayton Oh.

I tried, but my Fit isn't fast enough to keep up with V6/V8 Camaro's.

True.

The guys driving acted like they were the Project Zora or some crap.

I know the V6 camaro exhaust note and I'm 95% sure that's what the one was. The rest just had amazingly quiet exhaust for being a V6/V8 Camaro.

Both.

I saw one with a black convertible top and the majority were coupes.

1 of each for the mustangs.

It's a stick, I was parked at the gas station for that one.

I parked there to watched them all go by.

Makes sense, have a buddy who is a truck driver that travels from Cbus to Detroit everyday and he sees a couple camo cars a month. Though it is funny that they are using Ohio roads since Michigan roads are a joke, (just like their football team).

Though they are probably just going back to Detroit

I think a lot of people are going to be surprised. It is going to look like a Camaro, but it is NOT going to look just like a smaller 15. There are some very cool design surprises in the details that are well hidden. Wait and see...
